assistance based on one way mileage from
city of origin to
Gatlinburg, TN as follows:
< 150 miles - $100
>150 miles - $400
To be eligible for travel
assistance, bands must compete and
participate in both massed
bands on Saturday with a full roster.

Gatlinburg/Mills Park on whose property the
Games are
conducted, will not be held liable
for any injury, loss, or damage which may
be
incurred by me/us or to my/our property
during the course of
the Gatlinburg Scottish Festival and
Games.

Competition Rules:
1. All events shall be
conducted in accordance with the rules
and regulations of the
Eastern United States Pipe Band
Association (EUSPBA).
2. Each band must have a
representative present at the Pipe
Band meeting to be held
at 10:00am at the
Piping/Drumming
registration tent.
3. Order of play for all
Band events will be pre-drawn by
the GSFG
Board of Directors before the day of the
event.
4. All bands must
participate in both massed bands on
Saturday in order to
receive any travel awards.
5. All trophies shall be
awarded at the final massed band on
Saturday. All winners
shall be attired in appropriate
highland dress in order
to receive awards.
6. No medals may be worn
during competition.
7. Bands who stay and
perform on Sunday may be eligible
for further
compensation. Consult with either Co-
Director for information
8. Include a SASE to receive
gate tickets. A complete
roster
MUST be included to be eligible for gate tickets.
9. Decisions by the
Directors, Judges, Stewards, and
Monitors are final. All
protest must be filed in writing
within 15 minutes of the
conclusion of Saturday Massed
Band
ceremony.
*GFSG
reserves the right to limit entries in this event based on
available
time to
complete the event. Any band that is disallowed shall be
notified
no later
than 3 weeks before the event or at the earliest opportunity.
DISCOUNT
HOTEL RATES AVALIABLE:
Contact
either Director to inquire about cheaper hotel
rates. The
GSFG will provide assistance in arranging
block rates
on request as available. The board has had
success in
providing block rates ranging from
$40 to
$55 per night per room.
