Individual Piping and Drumming Rules:
1. All events shall be
conducted in accordance with the rules
and regulations of the
Eastern United States Pipe Band
Association (EUSPBA).
2. Competitions will start
promptly at 9:00 a.m.
3. Although field entries
are discouraged, it will be at the discretion of
the pipe and drum committee if field entries can be accepted and
that such late entries will not disrupt the competition
schedule.
4. The order of play will be
first to enter, last to play determined by postmark.
5. Drummers must provide
their own accompanist according to EUSPBA rules.
6. Competitors must be
ready when called or be disqualified.
7. Decisions by the
Directors, Stewards, Monitors, and Judges will be final.
Protests must be submitted in writing before the final awards
ceremony. GSFG reserves the right to remove or combine events
when no in conflict with EUSPBA rules.
8. Competitors must be in
appropriate Highland attire to compete (except Practice Chanter)
and to receive awards.
9. No medals will be worn
during competition.
10. No entry passes will be
mailed unless the entry is accompanied by a self-addressed
stamped 9x10 envelope and sufficient postage. No parking passes
are necessary.
11. All professional
competitors will receive cash awards. First, second and third
place medals will be awarded in the amateur solo grades.
Trophies will be awarded for Amateur Piper of the Day
(professional grade and amateur I if no professional entries)
and each amateur event. Awards must be picked up before the end
of the games or be forfeited. Trophies and medals will be
awarded on Saturday at the last massed bands.
*GFSG
reserves the right to limit entries in any event based on
available time to complete the event. Any competitor that is
disallowed shall be notified no later than 3 weeks before the
event or at the earliest opportunity. |
